My likes and links!

Some of the things I am involved in and like are listed below. As well as links to Christian pages you will see I have lots of interests and activities which go beyond being a Catholic Priest - enjoy your visit.
The Australian Catholic Bishops site provides interesting links to what is happening within the Church in Australia as well as links to other Catholic sites around the world.
Following this link takes you to Kir-Shalom - a wonderful place for Christian resources;
or if you are interested in Sermon Notes, following this link provides information about the Lectionary Readings for the present week's liturgy.
Another of my 'religious' activities involves my support for the Geelong Football Team in the Australian Football League competition; almost a 'religion' with many people in Australia.

As you can see above, I am a Cats supporter. Clicking on the header will take you to the official Geelong Home Page
For lot's of extra news about
the Cats try this 'unofficial' link
I also enjoy all things Irish and have found the following couple of pages filled with links you might like to follow.
By clicking the graphic you can get a whole lot of free graphics and backgrounds from a great Irish site. This is another interesting
Irish page that has some 'saintly' links
To see something of the beauty of Tasmania, especially our underwater scenery visit the link.
As mentioned on the previous page I am also a (Reserve) Chaplain in the Royal Australian Navy. This involves leaving Tasmania for periods of about a month per year to allow one of the regular Chaplains to take leave or proceed on a course.
In the past two years I have been stationed at HMAS Stirling in West Australia, HMAS Albatross in New South Wales and HMAS Cerberus in Victoria and on board HMAS Sydney.
To learn a little about the RAN click here.
During the two year period (1997 - 1999) I am serving as the President of the Tasmanian Council of Churches. I was appointed as the official delegate of the late Archbishop Young in 1987 and have enjoyed working with Christians from many faith backgrounds to build up the Kingdom of God in Tasmania during these years.
The work of the TCC is based on various Commissions within the local community as well as representing the National Council of Churches in Australia through it's Christmas Bowl, Force Ten and other projects. Links to the NCCA and it works can be found on the prvious page.
Another part of my involvement is with Awakening 2000, a movement of Christians committed that was committed to completing the task of reaching Australia for Christ by the year 2000.
In Tasmania there have been wonderful signs of the Lord at work in communities where there have been Easter Festivals, Easter Marches, the Global March and Operation Reconnect.
To see what we have done in New Norfolk for our Easter Festivals why not visit our 1998 site or our 1999 site to see how people have fun at a festival.
Information about each of these events, and the materials and resources to make them happen, are readily available. To find out more about the Awakening 2000 program visit the home page and find out the whole story unfolded and the steps that are being taken for the future work of the people committed to making Australia and more Christian Community.
My own Opening Page when I connect of a day time is the Screen Themes Page from Digiday.
I've been using their wallpaper for some time now and almost everyone who sees my screen asks where I've got the material from so follow this link.
Please feel free to contact me about anything - to ask questions or whatever!
As time goes by I'll add more to this page so feel free to come back and visit again some time.
