We have celebrated the New Norfolk EasterFest - another great day with a terrific crowd.
The Festival was opened by Archbishop Adrian Doyle - not a sporting personality but one of the next generation of Church Leaders in Tasmania into the 21st Century.
The theme for this year was the Parable of the Granny Smith Apple and we had our own Granny Smith providing apples to all and sundry.
The children didn't get their apples quite as easily - they had to 'dunk' for them.
The EasterFest provides people with the opportunity to meet their minister in a different guise than usual - on the left is Pator David Jensen from the Uniting Church leading the team in the BBQ tent and on the right acting as a target for the wet sponge thowing competition.
For the young people there was the chance to have their faces painted - this was a particularly busy area of the Square as the 'faces' lined up for some time to get the artwork done.
But the children weren't the only ones to enjoy the day - some of the older citizens of our community were also in attendance - they stayed for most of the day listening to the songs, being part of the celebrations and simply enjoying life.
Other activities included bubble blowing, stilt races, thong throwing, craft work, geeta races and generally having a good time.
In other words, another successful day.
